Kobe Port Tower is a symbol of Hyogo Prefecture’s Kobe City. Beautifully shaped like a long traditional Japanese hand drum and built with a unique pipe structure, the Kobe Port Tower appears red during the day but is lit up by 7040 LED lights during the evening.
You can look out over Kobe Port, the city area, and Mt. Rokko in an enormous panoramic view from the observation room on the top floor. The third floor features a coffee shop that rotates 360 degrees over the course of 20 minutes, while the fifth floor has a facility that uses optical fibers to let you see the constellations of all four seasons.
