“Kokoen Garden,” built on the site of Himeji Castle’s lord’s west residence, is a Japanese garden built in 1992 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hyogo Prefecture’s Himeji municipality. It is comprised of 9 differently styled gardens, and you can enjoy its differing charms with the change of every season.
