The Scale House (Uroko-no-ie in Japanese) got its name from the roughly 3,000 natural stones covering the exterior walls arranged in pattern resembling fish scales. This Western-style building, constructed over 100 years ago, features interiors decorated with antique furniture, in keeping with the image of that era. At the Uroko Museum next door, visitors can look at famous European paintings.
