From Kobe Sannomiya Station in the city center, take the Hankyu train about 4 minutes to the Oji Koen Station, then walk approximately 3 minutes to reach Kobe City's Oji Zoo. About 800 animals of 130 species are exhibited here. This is the only zoo in all of Japan where you can see both a giant panda and koalas in the same place! Now, I'd like to introduce my experience here!

In addition to the areas where animals can be observed, the Oji Zoo has a Zoological Science Center, an amusement park, restaurants and shops. It features a full lineup of facilities! Since I really wanted to meet a panda,I've been looking forward to visiting this zoo for a long time!

You can get up this close to a zebra.

Just as I thought, the elephant is so big!

It's a little scary to meet a bear eye to eye (lol)!

Now I am about to enter the building where the giant panda lives. It's the first time for me to see a panda, so I'm very excited!

I finally got to meet the panda I had longed to see! The real thing is so much cuter than a photograph!

While panda feeding times depend upon their physical condition, they are scheduled at 10:00 am, 11:45 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm. I came at the right time to see the panda eating!

This panda is as popular as a superstar!

After seeing such an adorable panda, I wanted to get one as a pet(lol)! Unfortunately, that's prohibited by law, so I had to settle for a stuffed animal panda!

The amusement park on the zoo grounds looks like fun, too!

Since I was tired after all that walking, I took a break and had some shaved ice at a restaurant!

At Oji Zoo,small children and adults alike can have a good time. With easy access from the center of Kobe, it's a place you should definitely visit!
